May luck into some they are getting ready to toss.
Thank you, Darren. You could have clipped them off with fingernail clippers and not had any problems.
I use a nursery trade 15 gallon or 30 gallon container for my trees. If you see a landscape company in your neighborhood planting trees, ask if you can have the empty pots, many times it will be no problem.Darrenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09174646683640212162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8051633486819426115.post-4751746324523209612015-05-22T10:57:23.068-07:002015-05-22T10:57:23.068-07:00We had an orange tree. When it started growing inch or so long spikes on it, we decided it had to go. Planted a pear tree instead. So far it has only produced a handful of fruit in two seasons. We are planning to prune it. One, it is too tall and we don't climb ladders easily any more.
Two, I think opening it up might help air to flow better?
Thanks for this post. Very educational. I didn't know so much fruit could be grown in containers. What size do you use?LindaGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12203719919661519350noreply@blogger.com
